***Today’s post is a guest post, done by Payton Hans and Skyler Asche, our two very lovely Marketing Interns. Enjoy***

It’s that time of the year again, where we gather with our friends and family and celebrate the Fourth of July. Of course, no gathering is complete without a sweet treat. Today, we are serving up some red, white, and blue, and bringing you…  our top three Fourth of July snacks that you can easily make at home. Your friends and family will be begging you to make these patriotic snacks every year, so expect these to become a tradition for years to come!

First up, Firecracker Pretzels!

Step 1: Grab a bag of your favorite pretzel rods, a white vanilla frosting, some blue sprinkles, and a tube of red gel frosting.

Step 2: Carefully dip your pretzel rods into the frosting but be sure to only cover about halfway! Not only do we want these to look like the American flag, but we also don’t want our guests’ hands covered in frosting.

Step 3: While the frosting is still wet, cover the top half in blue sprinkles. Then draw your red gel stripes over the other half and let them dry!

Those are some festive pretzels!

Next up, a Fruit Flag Cookie!

Step 1: Bake your favorite cookie dough into a square and let it cool. We used chocolate chip, but feel free to switch it up and use sugar, oatmeal, or peanut butter.

Step 2: Spread a white vanilla frosting over the cookie square, creating a base for our future fruit flag.

Step 3: Using diced blueberries and strawberries, create an American flag that is sure to dazzle your guests. Our favorite fruits happen to be exactly the colors we need: Red, white, and blue!

Slice and serve!

Last, but not least… Star Spangled Cider!

Step 1: Find a few of your favorite champagne flutes, glass or plastic.

Step 2: Spread white frosting around the rim of your glass. Note that it may be easier to dip the glasses directly into the frosting container for that perfect amount!

Step 3: Find your red, white, and blue sprinkles and stick them to the frosting while it is still wet. (Pouring some on a plate may reduce sprinkle havoc! 😉

Step 4: Once they are looking celebratory, fill with your drink of choice. We chose Welch’s Sparking Grape Juice.

Cheers!

These festive treats are sure to be a hit for both kids, adults, and everyone in between. To spice things up, add some themed napkins and plates. We’re positive these won’t last long! After enjoying, indepen-dance the night away with all your now (full) guests! Happy Fourth of July!
