Veridian Homes is excited to be partnering with many local businesses on our second Generous Home. We are delighted to say that once again, 100% of proceeds from its sale will go to local charities. This home was made possible by the hard work and generosity of our trade partners. Together, our trades, more than 40 local businesses, have donated more than $300,000 toward the cost of this home’s construction.
Once this home is sold, all proceeds from its sale will go to this year’s non-profit recipients, including: Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Porchlight, DAIS Domestic Abuse Intervention Services, Reach Dane, Hunger Task Force, Big Brothers Big Sisters Dane County, Boys & Girls Club of Dane County, Waunakee Food Pantry and Waunakee Neighborhood Connection.
“It’s an honor to be included amongst the deserving organizations benefiting from the sale of The Generous Home. We are grateful to Veridian Homes and their incredible vendors for their collaborative efforts to complete such an impactful project for the community. This gift will allow the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation – Wisconsin Chapter to continue to accelerate innovative research, and advance care and advocacy for everyone in Wisconsin living with cystic fibrosis.“ – Executive Director of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Wisconsin Chapter, Kelly Salentine
Porchlight is thrilled to be selected by the Veridian Homes Foundation as one of the charities to receive proceeds from the Generous Home project. Porchlight is the largest provider of affordable housing and services to homeless persons in Dane County. Veridian Homes is committed to providing housing to all income levels and uplifting those in our community who are struggling. – Karla Thennes- Executive Director
Reach Dane is profoundly grateful to be selected to receive funds from the sale of Veridian’s Generous Home! Reach Dane serves nearly 1,000 children (ages 0-5) and their families in poverty in Dane and Green County. We offer center and home-based Early Head Start, Head Start and Satellite family childcare programming. Our mission is to change the lives of underserved children and families through education and supportive services. The funds we receive from Veridian will go directly to pay for the basic needs of the families we serve. We receive daily requests for urgent help. The Veridian funds will prevent evictions, pay for hotel stays for families experiencing homelessness, provide food, clothing, and transportation for Reach Dane families. We need our communities support to do this work and we are so very thankful for this funding from Veridian! – Amy Selenske- Comprehensive Services Director
