A few months back I did an apparel vs. decor post that I had a lot of fun with.  With Halloween just around the corner, I thought it would be even more fun to do a costume (for kids) vs. decor post.  So here we are!  With all the cuteness happening below, it might be hard to pick a favorite, but give it a try and post in the comments below.

Unicorn:  Costume Vs. Decor

Spoiler alert, I am going to be a unicorn for Halloween this year, and I’m pretty sure half of the population will be too.  Unicorns are every where this year, and I love it.  Rainbows, glitter, golden horns, could you ask for more?  I’ve paired a snazzy costume available at Target with an adorably decorated nursery wall from Four Cheeky Monkeys.

Lumberjack:  Costume Vs. Decor

Check out this tiny lumberjack, his first birthday was featured on Project Nursery.  Such a cute costume idea, and practical too – stay warm out there!  Buffalo check is another print you are going to see everywhere this year.  It’s flannel season so you might as well embrace it – in your attire and your home.  Studio McGee mixed buffalo check with the mid-century modern style, what a fantastic unexpected idea.

Cheetah:  Costume Vs. Decor

Rawr!  Cheetah print is always in style in my book.  I love how this little lady’s parents, from Red Cap Cards, helped her create this awesome cheetah look.  A little face paint, some cheetah ears and a cheetah shirt – presto, you’re done!  A 1950’s bungalow takes on that same inspiration in bathroom form, this cheetah print wallpaper is so fantastic.

Jailbird:  Costume Vs. Decor

Costume image via Halloween Express. Decor image via The Everygirl.

Stripes are always in, even on a tiny little jailbird.  I’m not sure what “crime” this little one committed, maybe he was simply too cute.  Stripes seemed a bit like an obvious choice here, but they’re a true classic.  I love the minimal stripe on these accent pillows – be sure to check out this full home tour on The Everygirl.

Well, that’s all for now folks!  I hope I was able to inspire your next costume – or home decor piece.  Make sure to tell us what your favorite(s) are in the comments below!
